Before the 45th annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards came to an end, Taylor Swift was invited onto the stage of Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee to collect Artist of the Year. This victory saved from walking home with empty hands after having been blocked on several occasions to win 2011 Country Music Awards last night.
The country music girl brought home the top prize after a tough competition with the best male country musicians such as Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban. She received the honor of his more Reba McEntire, who won first prize in 1986. During his acceptance speech, he took the time to make the rounds of guest artists at their concerts.
Early in the evening, Blake Shelton was victorious in Male Vocalist of the Year category. He won the gong for Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and Keith Urban. He received the trophy for "Water for Elephants," the actress Reese Witherspoon.
History repeated itself when Blake's wife, Miranda Lambert won Female Vocalist of the Year. This marked their achievements in the categories for two consecutive years. Last year, took home the awards and became the first couple who took male and female vocalist since Tim McGraw and Faith Hill won them in 2000.
Miranda received the award for duo presenters Dierks Bentley and Emily VanCamp, but falsely informs the announcer mentioned as Martina McBride. The member of the group of girls beat gun Annies Taylor, Sara Evans and Carrie Underwood co-host, as well as siding Martina.

Scotty McCreery or Carrie Underwood,which 'Idol' sounded better?
Reigning "American Idol" champion Scotty McCreery has a long way to go to match the career of Carrie Underwood in country music.
But at the CMA Awards on Wednesday (Nov. 9), he just may have outdone on his "Idol" predecessor in the live-performance department
Underwood and Brad Paisley, in addition to hosting the awards, also performed their hit song "Remind Me" -- and we have to say, it wasn't Underwood's finest moment. She struggled a little bit with some of the higher notes and generally wasn't the super-polished performer we now expect her to be.
Granted, she had a lot on her plate Wednesday, and we can probably chalk it up to being a little bobble in a hectic night. But her part of "Remind Me" sounded just a little off.
McCreery took the stage a short time later to perform "Walk in the Country" from his debut album "Clear As Day." It's not a super-challenging vocal, but he handled the big stage
