Banning soft drinks At School Not Enough

Although children are not buying sugary drinks in schools because of state bans, global consumption of these drinks does not seem to have declined, investigators from the University of Illinois at Chicago, reported in the journal Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine after carrying out a study with about seven thousand students in 40 U.S. states.
The study included 6900 students from public schools in forty states. All were students in fifth and eighth in the spring of 2004 and 2007, respectively. They were given questionnaires that asked about their consumption of sugary drinks, as well as if they were able to purchase these beverages at school.
